If CBK and CNS dont figure out how to do what Jimbo is doing, they wont be competing for natty's in modern college football long term. Sad but true.

I think you’re getting ahead of yourself there bud. Jimbo is still their coach and they are still in college fricking station, they don’t know how to win championships there, it’s not in their blood. And I don’t think buying them with money is the way it’s going to happen down their either.

Exactly. BK has said some silly things in post game interviews before but would never do anything like that mike Gundy level melt.

Exactly, And Saban usually does the same thing as well so that is why I’m so shocked he took such a low blow yesterday to Jimbo. And talk about some hypocritical statements!

no they won’t. Their #1 problem in the modern era has been retaining talent, because as much as some of our fans want to ignore it, their school is legitimately weird and key kids don’t seem to want to stay there long term. Half of their current class will probably transfer out next year. We’ve been hearing the same bullshite about how A&M is the “next big power program” since 1937 and it’s never happened. It's possible.
But it very well could go in the other direction. He now has a locker room of very well paid 17, 18, 19 year olds. Paid with someone else's money (who are no doubt going to want some say in things). Kids that get such money with little to no contractual limitation (unlike professional players). Kids that don't have any loyalty to the school...only themselves. And kids that can take the money and "renegotiate" next season with the leverage that they can transfer immediately.
A&M is pushing all of their chips to the center of the table. But we have yet to see the fallout if that bet doesn't start to immediately payout.
The rest of the schools have to deal with the NIL headache as well. But no one is more invested than A&M. The investment could pay off big time. But it also might bust spectacularly. The only sure thing is the pressure on Jimbo has been turned up to 11. His investors aren't looking for an 8-4 "payout".
