The term indigenous is a little silly. None of us are indigenous to this continent. We’re an invasive species.

Think this out fully for me.

The inhabitants that are called “native” came over on a land bridge and wiped out the former peoples that were here, who also likely came over on a land bridge.

None of us are “indigenous” to North America if you go all the way back.

So, how many generations born on this continent does one need to be considered “indigenous”?

Whether you believe in creation or evolution, life began in one area. Then because of overpopulation, natural disasters, or family feuds etc, man began to migrate to unsettled areas.

There indigenous claim only lasted only as long as the next migration out of some other negatively impacted region. Therefore, there was never been indigenous peoples, precisely because NO ONE can pinpoint the first area of human settlement

So you are left with what we have . . . . conquering of lands and its resources by larger populations, or better armed invaders

All humans came from Africa. A very long time ago, people came to the America’s and settled all over. From modern Canada to southern Chile, in places as many as 10k years before the next group.

This next group came and slaughtered them all, and they formed the ancestors of current tribes, who also continued the tradition of killing other tribes at times to gain their land.

Now hypocritical terms like “First Nation” are used to garner sympathy because what they did for thousands of years was done to them a couple couple hundred years ago.

Well, almost. Unlike previously, genocide wasn’t the explicit goal. But in the modern world, there is a “white people” multiplier used on acts that determine how “bad” they are.
