Columbus if you can afford it. It's still affordable for now, but it's going to explode over the next decade - especially the north eastern side.
I'd avoid Akron unless you really want to get your hands on a lot of land. Northeastern Ohio gets crazy winter weather because of the proximity to Lake Erie.
I like Greensboro, but North Carolina is filling up with damn yankees.
