The Abbott's Sturgis plant at issue was shut down after receiving four reports of infants who were hospitalized with bacterial infections after consuming formula from the facility. Two of the infants died.
May 10th Abbott released a statement saying a thorough FDA investigation determined the Abbott facility was NOT the likely source of the infection & there was no outbreak caused by products from the Abbott facility.
The FDA shutdown & "negotiations" are ongoing.

The fact is, the most likely cause is a parent failed to clean the bottle or nipple.
Had there been an issue, it would have been WAY more than 4 illnesses.
