For the first time in a long time I actually feel like, at the very least, an LSU football team isn't going to look confused and out of position in a season opener. Under Les and O we'd have multiple situations in season openers where the staff cost the team a timeout or we'd have 1/2 of the defense in the wrong play. Or you'd see 2 guys on the OL out of position. A running back missing his blocking assignment, etc.

It’ll move and settle around -6.5 I’d guess

Les was undefeated on home openers until 2017 vs Wisconsin. That is 2005-2016. shite on Les all you want, but not about this.

Les seemed to have that more and more every year, but Ensminger cleaned it up real quick. It did come back some last year under Peetz.

I think this coaching staff is solid, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some early season issues against FSU. It is a completely new coaching staff on both sides except for a line coach with a completely new system on offense. Plus if Brennan is the starter (likely) he may have some rust to shake off in the first quarter.

I just don't think people should be expecting perfection out of the gate and not melt the score board if there are some early issues.
