Inability to survive outside womb. Pre 16-20 weeks depending on technology and available NICU.

That’s one answer to the OP question.

"Inability to survive outside womb"

That applies to about 81 million people of the country.

Doesn’t this case being reviewed by the court involve a 15 week limit?

I know some young adults who have no ability to survive outside of their parent's home.

Question for you:

Say the child is not aborted and taken to the full nine month term but no food or care is given to the child after birth.

Will the child survive outside the womb?

Lots of people can’t survive without lots of help … and they may even be college graduates. Are they subject to abortion

So 40 years ago that wasnt even possible. So did the definition of life change because of technology? That isn't very science-ey.

Yet anyone looking at a sonogram video taken during this period knows damn well it’s a human life.

My oldest has been outside the womb for over three years , and he wouldn't survive very long without constant supervision and provision.

What's the principled difference between providing care inside versus outside the womb? That's arbitrary.

Also, many perhaps most states' abortion laws allow abortions past the point where we could keep the baby alive.

The argument that abortions should be allowed through the point where it is--with the current best technology and best medical teams--literally impossible to keep the baby alive outside the womb, has some weight. The problem with that is determining that point. You'd have to take an average. So you're back to arbitrary decisions.

Also, there is almost no way to enforce that. That's a side argument. But unless you're going with implantation (or birth, which even Molechites have a hard time promoting),it's all arbitrary policy decisions based on the present whims of the various interests with power to make and influence same.

There are parasitic organisms that can’t survive without their host, in their mature form. They’re living creatures.

Dumb AF. No infant outside of the womb can survive without someone to take care of it.
