WOW..you do realize the college baseball players who actually get full rides are few and far between..and the ones that do are superior athletes most of the time... LSU has given people a distorted perspective of college baseball... college baseball as a whole, especially anything lower than D1 is not filled with a bunch of talent,

and you are full of shite. go look at the draft and where kids come from. There is talent from NAIA, to JUCO all the way tot he SEC.

it's essentially glorified HS baseball

maybe more like playing against teams in 5a state quarters every weekend. All the kids are talented as shite

with less fans because the players parents/family are not local...

who cares??

Also you could specialize in something in basketball or football and play D2 or D3 just as easy as baseball

not if you are not blessed with crazy size or speed. Speed can be developed but only so much.

look any parent priortizing a scholarship in any sport is dumb. Academic scholarships should be the priorty. But many many kids dream of playing college baseball and absolutely should chase that dream. PLenty of kids develop after high school and all one needs to do is go look at the number of JUCO players drafted and the players that go on to sign D1 scholarships.

plus way way way more schools play baseball over football.

as mentioned, nobody in college baseball gets full ride scholarships.. with 11.7 for 32 players, the math doesnt work and its why academics are so important.

but playing college baseball is much more achievable for most average size players than basketball or football.
