1. Too much reading and reacting

2. We're not dictating down and distance anymore

3. Remember after the '03 UGA game, and how we had blitzes for every state? I think we've only gotten to Colorado for the season.

4. Pre-snap confusion has shifted from opposing offenses to LSU's defense. Back in the day, I loved seeing our LB's and DB's showing blitz....trying to create confusion for the offensive line. Now I see our players shrugging our shoulders not knowing where they're supposed to be. There was a certain swagger/gangbuster mentality in our defense that I don't see now. (a good example of our swagger pre-snap on defense would be all the Safety blitzes against Alabama the last 3-4 years).

5. No identity for this defense.

6. Opposing QB's aren't afraid of getting hit by our defense. David Greene in '03. the QB's we knocked out last year.

No pressure from the D-line. What made past LSU defenses so great, was the ability to generate a pass rush with only 4 lineman rushing, it seems we really can't do that anymore.

LSU defense has been best known for being aggressive, when the playcalling isn't aggressive you aren't playing to the strength of the defense. Then again, I'm not a coach...
