Stand, sit, be mad about people sitting, be mad about people standing. Be mad about people not asking other people to stand. Do whatever you want. It’s a free country.

But don’t expect it to be a law. You can’t force people to worship anything. And don’t expect people to listen to you or care. Because that’s the same courtesy you give. Freedom is a wonderful thing,

OP is upset that we as a culture have lost collective pride in our country, etc. such that announcers at games are too fearful to even ask, not demand, that people stand--which, as you correctly point out, they do not have to do.

What the hell you're talking about, I don't know. No one is talking about making laws to stand, as you straw man about. Worship has nothing to do with this conversation. Nobody can necessarily expect people to listen to you or care, including yourself, so I don't know point you think you're making there. Yes, freedom is a wonderful thing.
