We've also only really played 1 healthy top 8 playoff team in a month...and didn't have BI

that’s fair but the point remains that adding Zion in some capacity should still be happening if he’s healthy. after tomorrow, we are strictly playing playoff teams. judging the team based on how we’ve done against mostly non-playoff teams and using that judgment to argue against playing a healthy Zion does not make sense

Sure, if/when he's healthy, put him in the rotation

We're just running out of games for that to happen, and personally, I don't think it does.

If Zion gets his way tomorrow.
If team gets their way 7 game series.
If compromise play in.
If team plans to compromise and they want to win they’d be smart to play him 2 of the next 3 games.

I agree that what we have is working. But did playing Nance for the first game, or since then, cause any major disruption to the team? I think we got better with Nance. If Z start back easing in as a role player I don’t see it being a big disruption to the team.

I think they are ramping up to play if we get through to the actual playoffs. We have little chance at beating Phoenix as currently constructed. Throw Zion in there and maybe we catch lightning in a bottle. That would be 10 days from now. It's doable if we are to believe he is getting close to 3on3 and eventually 5on5.
It would also be considered a compromise that Zion and his camp could agree to.

It’s really simple IMHO. If we force 2-2 in playoffs or somehow get to the 2nd round then he plays. He won’t be in the play in game and he won’t play the first few playoff games. We see how far we can get without him. If we have a chance to move on then they make that decision.

I think the interesting thing will be if he doesn’t play the play in, and we win it, can we justify not playing him in the playoffs? Idk

What if we make it to round 2? At that point I feel like there would be an insane amount of pressure

I would really prefer him to get some minutes before the playoffs if he is going to suit up in the playoffs. If for nothing more than synergy with the players.

This guy hasn't played a 5x5 game (even in practice) in a year. And you are expecting him to go from bench to a NBA Playoff game by next week?

Zero chance

Yeah, he's not coming back in the regular season, if he were coming back I would think they would list him as doubtful for at least a game.

I also have doubts they'd bring him back for the Play In. Sure he might help you win, but if you lose he becomes an easy scapegoat and would get to hear about it all summer.

In a 7 game series you have more time to ease him in, and if you lose even the first 4 games to the Suns, nobody is going to feel it should have gone differently.

No it wouldn’t what if he plays well and they just win. How is that a disaster they are the better team at the moment. I just want to see who handles Zion down low.
I already know the answer nobody, the whole team maybe.

Spurs are 3-1 against us and Pop always has our number.

They are 8-2 in their last 10.
