Do insurance company commercials continually talk about how evil and bad plaintiff attorneys are and suggest you’ll become a millionaire by calling them after an accident?

no but they assure you that you are "in good hands" or they are "like a good neighbor" but then will turn around and nickel and dime you and delay and delay and delay and look to wear you down should you have the audacity to make a claim.

as for your second point, i agree, the bar needs to tighten up on the ads with respect to "i got $xxxx" that came up in the legislature last year---that if you have that kind of ad, then you need to also list how that money was paid out. not sure what happened to it.

oh and have yall's car insurance rates gone down? i thought for sure after the "tort reform" package last year that they would certainly come down.....

For every bad one there are 100 Morris Barts out there helping the people but you never hear about them.

The ambulance chasers discovered social media and were allowed to advertise. They are in our face more than past years.

I can’t proclaim any personal hate, but I do have a question: when a client on a commercial states the amount of their settlement, does it include damage to their vehicle?

I mean yeah some of you serve a good purpose. But the face of your industry are a bunch of blowhards that have punchable faces.

Odd to group these two categories together.

You come off as a whiny bitch

A poor whiny bitch.

Successful people don’t have to seek validation of their profession by strangers on the internet. That’s coming from someone who doesn’t mind trial lawyers.

Your direct role in driving business and jobs away and real cost via higher insurance for everyone...well done.

thats pretty ironic--bitching about a (perceived) bitch

i am content as to what i do and was not seeking validation---especially from some internet board.

the question was posed simply to see why there is so much animus towards my profession.

A few years back, someone challenged me with this question:

Who would you rather regulate private industry? government? Or private industry?

Of course, there should be guard rails on trial lawyers/ Personal Injury lawyers - like frivolous lawsuits/ tort reform and compensation limits but yeah…let them regulate businesses

I like how OP says a lot of people bitch to him about their insurance company and then complains that nobody bitches about insurance companies.

Completely agree! These billboard attorneys fund their materialistic lifestyle off the backs of people who are on food stamps, too lazy to work so are home on couch watching tv all day when not dealing with their 10 different baby mommas bs!

Well, in my experience, the percentage of disreputable, unethical, sleezy, greedy and dumb personal injury plaintiff attorneys compared to the pool of personal injury attorneys as a whole is inordinately large.
