I really like Dean. He’s a great coverage backer and really good against the run. Davis is getting up in age, and I think dean has the ability to play multiple LB spots.

Choice B: Johnson based on value. Would give us solid depth at both ends and allow us to get a better pass rushing package on the field on third and long

Jermaine Johnson with no regrets. BPA and I’m biased but I think he’s the best edge in the draft by a wide margin. Explosive, lives in the backfield, equally good against the run/pass, and a good leader.

If it was up to me I’m very aggressive in this draft based on our FA would like to see us have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds.

How do trade compensations work? Do we get anything for armstead?

Bonafide stud. Maybe not the highest position of need but he will be pro bowl level shortly

Is this assuming Olave, Williams, and Burks are all off the board? I find that hard to believe.

But I have to be honest, the team has bigger needs but plugging in Dean for Davis when it’s his time to go if mighty tempting.

Johnson
Linderbaum
Dean
Watson.

Nakobe dean is going to be an all pro type guy. I wouldn't take a linebacker at 18 but someone will get a steal in the late 20s

If we do, it’ll be in the 2023 draft.

Unless the QBs have a poor showing in their Pro Days, I think at least 3 QBs will be off the board. That tells me that at least 1 of those WRs would have to fall to 18.

I've been seeing Tyler Smith & Penning available, and with Armstead gone do they now have OT higher on the board. I've also now seen 2 mocks that had both Williams & Olave available (Burks, Wilson & London are off the board)

With the current makeup of the roster, if these 4 (Smith, Penning, Williams & Olave) are all on the board, I'd have to go with Olave. If they address WR before the draft, I am going with Penning. Either way, I am addressing the other position in the 2nd and/or 3rd

The only wr here can be had later in the draft. I’m taking the pass rusher.

Yeah this is the year to do it, there will be elite players at 18 teams have to get. Make them pay for it.

I’m hoping one of these 4 drop

Penning
Williams
Wilson
Olave

Olave is last of the 4. After those four, I’d look at Burks or Dean.

if we were looking at LB in round 1, I'd rather get Devin Lloyd

Burks’ combine has people spinning. I still like him but I expect his stock has falling a bit

His comparisons based on his measurements and athletic profile

Brian Quick
JJ Areaga Whiteside
Dez Fitzpatrick
Bennett Skowrenek
Laquon Treadwell
Josh Gordon
Lil Jordan Humps
Zach Pascal
Mack Hollins

Burks scares me. He has high upside but I could see him turning into a bust. And I don’t think he fits with MT.

Burks is a huge sleeper WR in this draft. Reminds me of AJ Brown in TN.
