About 10 years or so I was talking to a guy at LDWF about it and I think the idea at the time was lottery hunts for youths and veterans on baited sites to kill a certain number of bears each year.

I have not seen anybody state why they are adament to have a bear season.
About the only legit gripe i could label valid, is farmer crop damage. Lets hear reasons.
And i doubt every red neck and french accent joe blow will be able to hunt. There aren't that many bears.
It would be a very limited hunt, by a select few.
