I mean....they are kind of letting their potential future member out to dry.

Not saying WE should jump in, but man this is like having the key to a locked door and watching someone trying to open it.

Nothing is stopping them if they wish, but there's no obligation.

Absolutely NOT. NATO has no business being involved in this.

Do you want WW3? Do you understand the ramifications of what you are saying?

Aside from the USA, NATO is a joke. It doesn’t have enough manpower to do anything. There’s a story today on the Fox News site about the German Army commanding general stating that he can’t do anything because the politicians have refused to adequately fund the army. Today the Germans have about 64,000 in the army, Poland has about 60,000. They would not last long against the Russians. Britain and France have larger armies, but may not have the right equipment or make up either. Trump tried to get them to upgrade, but they wouldn’t do it.

The fact that you're even talking about them being a future member is why Putin is doing what he's doing.

We the USSR peacefully feel apart part of the deal was that the West not militarize Russia's border. But now here we are with a corrupt western puppet state attempting to do just that.

Ukraine is the reason why Ukraine hasn’t been admitted to NATO. American politicians over the years haven’t helped, but Ukraine should have made better decisions the last 20 years.

In keeping with your metaphor, Russia may be turning the key, but Ukraine left it there.

Putin is threatened nuclear war against anyone who aids Ukraine. It’s not worth it especially with Biden and Harris in charge.
