Who gives a shite? The Russian troll farms play both sides to sow dissent.
Dudes dead… good riddance… but the preying online of gullible Americans will continue… bc guess what?… it works.

The Wagner soldiers have been. Some of the higher ups have been seen in Russia lately. Prigozhin supposedly had been pardoned and was rumored to have met personally with Putin within the last month or so. Apparently that meeting did not go well for Prigozhin.

If you're not at least annoyed that foreign entities are influencing our elections, some self reflection is required.

Yes, exactly, the "internet research agency" tries to use trolling to destablize our politics by making online discourse angrier, more cynical, more conflictual and they sometimes brought it offline into the real world where violence could occur. A good example is them trying to organize simultaneous nearby rallies for anti-muslim groups and muslim activists to spark conflict - that sort of frickery.

Ah the old Russian playbook.
Instead of carpet bombing that column heading to Moscow, which is terrible optics internally and internationally, let’s just “negotiate” and take care of it with an accident in a couple of months.

I think this guy has done worse than mess with your favorite candidate’s Facebook appeal.

That's not what I was alluding to at all. Someone isn't defined by one action but a multitude actions.
Just because he plays both sides doesn't mean his propaganda/sowing of dissent doesn't matter and doesn't make it alright.

Unless he realized his position during the mutiny was truly hopeless, I was honestly surprised that he would agree to any kind of truce with Putin. Did he really think Putin would just let it slide and let him go do his thing elsewhere?

They try to sow dissent and discord, but they were really bad at it due to having a very poor understanding of Americans in general and often shaky English skills.

Just curious how many people here think Ukraine is getting back Crimea in the next 5 years.
I do not.
I don't either but I do not think they should give up their claim to it until Russia compensates them for it. Crimea is still Ukrainian territory according to every international law but Russia has been selling its agriculture products and mining its minerals for 9 years. Ukraine can use dropping its claims to Crimea as a bargaining chip when the sides eventually come to the negotiating table in exchange for a massive payment.

Doesn't stop those that frequent the PT board from getting tripped up though.

Very intresting. More and more russian outlets are reporting that a "terrorist attack/explosion" on board Prigozhin's jet caused it to crash

Not saying this is BS, but it seems a little too quick to happen.

Propaganda TV channel "Tsargrad" reports that the plane with Prigozhin was blown up

The Belarusian authorities have cut off the internet in the area of the main Wagner Group camp in the Tale Village in Belarus.
Looks like Putin and Lukashenko are trying to stop the Wagner Group from communicating with each other and coordinating a quick response.

temporarily occupied Crimea

It is possible. I do not think it will happen but it is possible. When the Nova Khakov dam failed the reservoir which fed the North Crimean Canal was drained. The NCC no longer receives water from the Dnieper River. The NCC is responsible for 85% of Crimea's freshwater. The reservoirs in Crimea were almost dry in 02/2022 when Russia invaded. In fact the reservoir which supplies Simferopol almost completely dried up. The reservoirs in Crimea received water for approximately 16 months which was not enough to fill them. It is hard to imagine that those reservoirs have more than 1-2 years worth of water in them. If Ukraine reaches Melitopol and severs the road and rail connections between Russia and Crimea and gets F16s it will be able to take out the Kerch Strait Bridge once and for all and then sink any ship trying to resupply Crimea. Ukraine could then spend years besieging Crimea until the Crimean population revolts due to thrist. Again I do not think it will happen but it is possible.
