Contract healthcare providers earn 50-75% more than regular employees. The salary is plausible. Working contract makes the scenario of taking time off even for two years plausible.

I was making $250k as a toolpusher in Brazil and hated every minute of it. Now I make half that and at home every day with my family and no stress.

Why? What is the issue with part of the day being unpleasant if it means being great at the task and getting paid greatly for it?
Leave if it legitimately makes you miserable, but don't jump ship just because something gets more difficult than you thought it would be. You're talking like those wimpy millenials you beat up to make yourself feel better.

Stress is a sign that you are doing something that matters to more people than just yourself. Running away from stress makes you useless to society. I will certainly remember this conversation the next time I see you lament the younger generation, because you're defending exactly what is wrong with them.

I made a career change at 40. I spent a lot of time investigating what I wanted to do. This investigation included talking to dozens and dozens of people about what they did. My wrap up question was always, “Would you recommend what you do to someone else?” The answer the vast majority of the time was “No”.

If you're 30 and grinding because of Family, I get it. If you're 45 and still there, I have absolutely no respect for you. No one does, except the guy you benefit.

Sometimes stress is a sign that you're stressed out. There are plenty of people working jobs in professions they don't care about because they need a paycheck. They're losing their hair and drinking themselves to death slowly every night. Is that stress worth it when they don't give a frick about their job? I'd say no. They can do a million other things that actually lets them do something they feel as worthwhile. Maybe that will be stressful, but at least they'd have a purpose and perspective.
Stress is not always bad, but it is also not universally good. That's an insane way to go about this.

There's positive stress and negative stress. I like positive stress, but the negative shite will kill you. Its a wasted life.
