Names on jerseys?

Aren’t the player’s last names usually on the back of the jerseys? Is this a new thing?

IIRC the Pinstripes don’t usually have last names on them anyway.

McLaggen was interested in LSU baseball, but decided to watch Netflix instead after he was ridiculed and called a stupid frick for asking a simple question.
