Wisdom from someone who spent their adult life in opposition to an evil supressive system.

quote:

"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.
They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence,
these Men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely
play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people's door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy... but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the Men who just wanted to be left alone."

Damnit, I've been meaning to read the Gulag Archipelago but instead I forgot about it and started Five Rings.

Great quote.

I can see this being true. Pull someone out of what they worked hard for (a comfortable life under a warm blanket of anonymity), and they could feel like they have nothing else to lose.

This statement is the absolute truth, but then we'll hear cries from the Democrats and their Soros-funded media allies saying "See! We told you they were violent!!!"

This is exactly why anti conservative governments want unarmed populations. It makes it that much more difficult for a minority of public "servants" to exert extreme control over citizens.

Didn’t Mel Gibson make an entire movie based off that quote

There is no greater enemy to freedom or mankind than the Bolsheviks. That is who has taken over our government, our media, our art and our faith.

True for those play-acting at politics and terror but even worse is reserved for traitors. Those that betray generate even deeper hate. The reason why those like Cheney and Kinzinger and the Lincoln Project repubs are finished in politics.

And that is exactly the mindset that the Dems believed that the Jan. 6 'insurrectionists' held. That is why they cowered under their desk, and believed their demise was imminent. They are guilty and corrupt in their conscience, and they know it.

When this System collapses or to the degree that it does, for whatever reason, the French Revolution will look like a Broadway Show. The more that the Left punishes their opposition, the more the hatred and vengeance power will grow.

The Left had better drop their cheating and sanctimonious one-sided prosecutions as a means to political power, and those in the MSM who spread the lies as well. The hatred grows by the day, and it'll only take a handful of bloody martyrs to kick of a perfect storm per Solzhenitsyn's eloquent and fearful assessment.

Doing some genealogical research recently and a wonderful example of this would be the battle of King Mountain during the Revolutionary War.

The British threat:

“If you do not desist your opposition to the British Arms, I shall march this army over the mountains, hang your leaders, and lay waste your country with fire and sword.”

The Overmountain men and their reply was the beginning of the end to the British campaign in South. The war ended a year later.

Absolute truth in what Solzhenitsyn says. Amongst my circle of friends whenever the discussion of current events comes up and how the left is hell bent on destroying this country the topic of civil war usually comes up. I've always said that when we reach the point where they take away the ability of the common man to provide for his family and live in peace is when we'll see a rebellion because the common man like so many people we all know will no longer have anything to lose. Solzhenitsyn's description is much better than mine.

I have no idea who this person is, but what a great quote. It’s truth is pretty evident, it you have read the posts of several right here on the PT board. If they make us fight, we aren’t going to be fair, or even decent.

If I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible what was the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: 'Men had forgotten God; that is why all this has happened.'
