Even the Rock has turned his back on Rogan now:

quote:

Dwayne Johnson voiced support for Joe Rogan amid a COVID-19 misinformation controversy.

Johnson reversed his support for Rogan after clips emerged of him using the N-word multiple times.

Rogan said his use of the N-word was "regretful and shameful" and denied being racist.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson backtracked on his previous support of Joe Rogan after video clips resurfaced of the podcaster using the N-word on multiple occasions.

Dwayne Johnson
@TheRock
Dear @donwinslow
Thank you so much for this
I hear you as well as everyone here 100%
I was not aware of his N word use prior to my comments, but now I've become educated to his complete narrative.
Learning moment for me.

Mahalo, brother and have a great & productive weekend.
DJ

I’m glad someone finally started a Rogan thread.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but the people most outraged by this seem to be liberals and Hollyweird. Where’s the outrage from the countless black guests and friends Joe has had on the podcast? Why isn’t the black community denouncing Joe Rogan? Oh, right, it’s just the mentally ill puppets being handled by their masters.

We could cancel endless people if we went back decades and had chopped up a video of them quoting other's using the n-word and actually saying. Hell Biden said it in congress quoting others.

It's kind of dumb.

How many people are they willing to lose? I understand as one person I mean nothing to Spotify, but I've had a subscription for 3 or so years, and I emailed them letting them know if they drop Rogan, I drop them.

People using the race card to throw their weight around.

Power intoxicating.

The best thing that could happen to Rogan would be for Spotify to cancel him.

They would have to pay him out his contract, and he could start his own network and make even more money.

I brought that up to some liberals and their response was “so what we don’t like Biden either”. They tolerate all sorts of racism and bigotry when it’s their side doing it, then like hypocrites only hold the right accountable for the same shite. This is why you should never apologize or try to appease these people.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.

They better remove Biden then too,
Joe Biden says “we already have a ****** mayor we don’t need anymore ****** big shots.”
And every rap artist.

Context doesn’t matter, obviously.

And I was listening to a piece from an old man alive during the civil war period.

The whole “n-word” thing, by my ken, simply comes from a change in the pronunciation of negro. The oh is dropped in some accents. I’ll try to find it

Here it is. Listen to how he pronounces words, especially negro.

My theory is that there was just a lingual shift, and people hearing it adopted a new word, which by the by became a slur.

When did this become such a big problem and who wrote the law that only those of a certain pigment can say it?

As I have said before, anyone who apologizes for using that word in the past deserves what they get. Never….ever……apologize.

Reasonable people understand that context matters when he said Nutella and in come cases said nutellar

If Rogan was smart, his next podcast should address the situation by playing the Biden clip, the Howard Stern Clip and black face and Trudeau black face then state if these three men step down, then he will follow suit. Until then, he will carry on…

Everyone saying it isn't a big deal and never apologize.....y'all should go to the 70805 zip code and say it. Loudly. Because you're not just keyboard warriors and whatnot
