Probably not. But there’s a difference between the old coaches going 0-28 and the new coaches winning the SEC and not missing the tourney since year 1 (this year TBD)
thanks, you made my point for me - which was the "he's better than his predecessors" excuse is a fair argument, but only for a couple years.

But after a couple years, that argument has to go away and he has to be judged on his performance, relative to the talent he brings here.

Would Nick Saban be judged a success if he went 9-3 at Bama? That's certainly better than his predecessor.

Why are you so obsessed with just making the tourney? He brings in great talent no one is arguing that. He should be in top 64. It's what he does once there. If he starts making some runs, then I'll give him a lot more credit.
Because no one since Dale Brown has been able to do that at LSU? If it's so easy, why has no one done it consistently since Brown?

Why did Duke, Auburn, and Kentucky miss the tourney last year?

Ok, his resume is of a good coach without comparing him to his predecessors... so...?

Plus stop comparing basketball and football.

yes it is, but his success should be compared to the talent on the roster.

He's brought in 4 and 5* recruiters for years now. Sure, Wade has had success, no doubt.

But with the talent we've had, we all expect more.

Top recruiting classes raise the bar for success. That's just a universal truth.

No one brought in talent consistently until now. I give him props for that. They should be in trny. However, he does nothing with it. A lot of us aren't the participating trophy like. If just getting in satisfies you I respect that. I would hope you respect those of us that would like success in the trny. Even Brady had much more trny success the times he made it.

His classes are typically top-5 in the SEC which is what he's been every year since year 2. This year is the anomaly. Look, if we suck again next year, by all means fire him. I'm just saying he's earned a little time to right the ship.

We wil never agree that he did not make the Sweet 16 in year 2, that much is clear. Since then he's had 2 chances. 1 tournament got canceled, and the next he lost to a 1-seed in round 2. The tournament is about match ups and seeding as much as it's about coaching and talent. If you want him fired because he couldn't beat Michigan last year, then I don't know what to tell you.

Johnny Jones & Trent Johnson are not reflective on the type of HC that LSU could attract if Will Wade were to leave tomorrow

Those guys were just bad hires.

We currently have two 5 stars committed for next year, as well as Miller coming back. Any fan hating on Wade is misguided as frick and potentially doing damage to the program.

Ask yourself this… “if I was a rival fan trying to do damage to the program, would I be exactly how I am now?”

LSU underachieved last year because Thomas got so much leash from Wade. Two other guys are getting minutes in the nba from that team too. He never passed them the ball or gave effort defensively like they did.

It’s not really Thomas’ fault. It was Will Wade’s for allowing it to happen

This is a complete misrepresentation of his recruiting classes' NATIONAL rankings.

You know Jack shite about basketball. He was absolutely clutch in postseason and the only chance we had at winning.

Things were worse before he got here, so no one is allowed to criticize him?

If this was sound logic Gerry DiNardo would still be the HC at LSU.
