This channel has a strong collection of LSU sports broadcasts from previous years. Great stuff, I've downloaded a few things to add to my collection. But I've got a couple of biggies he doesn't seem to have - pristine HD over the air recordings of the 2003 & 2007 NC games.

Anyone know how to directly contact the guy that runs this? Appears to be named Logan Lea. I've reached out via Venmo, comments, etc. but haven't gotten a response. I'd think these would be great to make available more broadly to the LSU Tiger community.

Where did you get the HD broadcast of the 2003 game if you don't mind my asking?

Quite amazing leaps in technology. I bought my first HD capable projector in 2003...perfect timing as many of the games were broadcast in HD for the first time that year.

Ha, there was quite a scramble on my side to do that once I realized LSU would be in. I ended up getting an HD Tuner/capture card for my PC, fed by a rooftop antenna. Then I had to buy an extra hard drive to be sure I would have enough space - and I needed it more than I knew, because the resulting recording was 39 GB! Keep in mind, this was at a time when good PCs came with drives in the 60-80 GB or so range so that was a ton of storage.

I used that setup for both the 2003 and 2007 NC games. The quality is GREAT because it's relatively low compression OTA as opposed to the higher compression used in cable or satellite.

Edit: It helps that I'm in a tech friendly area which has the TV station that was first in the nation to start HD broadcasting, WRAL in Raleigh.

Indeed. I had an NEC XGA business oriented projector at the time that was capable of HD display but wasn't native HD. It wasn't until 2007 that a real 1080p native HD projector was in my price range. Now we're whining that SB 56 won't be in 4K!

No - that's exactly why I'm trying to find contact info.

I had that 720p NEC projector as well and just made due with the cable broadcast. Even though it wasnt in full HD it was still the best image any of us had ever seen blown up to 8ft wide! The first GA game in 2003 was the first LSU game I can remember watching in HD!
