Do you realize that this guy is still a relatively young coach? Did you peak 10 years into your career? He will get better. He's brought basketball back to the bayou. He's not John Wooden but he can be Roy Williams some day so...no...I don't think he has

Coach Wade is Scott drew when drew first started at baylor. Can recruit his arse off but it takes a while to build a culture of winning and responsibility. It’s not going to come quickly coach Wade is young. I’ve watched a lot of baylor basketball over the years, starting with tweety’s freshman year

Getting started in year 5?

I am going to keep posting this until all of you idiots realize how dumb you sound acting like Wade has done nothing so far...

In his first 5 years after taking over a 10-21 (2-16) team, Will wade has gone:

18-15 (NIT 2nd Rd)
28-7 (SEC Champ; Sweet Sixteen)
21-10 (Tourney team but for COVID)
19-10 (NCAAT 2nd Rd)
16-5* (Incomplete)

83-47 (64% win)

In his first 5 years at Duke after taking over a 24-9 (7-7) elite 8 team, Coach K went:

17-13 (NIT Quarterfinal)
10-17
11-17
24-10 (NCAA 2nd Rd)
23-8 (NCAA 2nd Rd)

85-65 (57% win)

It took Coach K 6 seasons to finish higher than 3rd in the conference and get past the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney. It took Wade 2 seasons.

Look... I am not saying Wade will be as successful as Coach K, but I swear some of you idiots would have wanted Coach K fired in 1982-83.

Not only did Wade take over a far inferior team he has done more in his first 5 seasons (with one incomplete) than Coach K did.

Maybe let's all chill out and see how the season plays out. We were picked to finish 7th in the SEC and are currently 16-5 (4-4).

Well, he has done more than everyone else we’ve had in the modern era.

First 5 years
Dale Brown = 52%
Trent Johnson = 52%
John Brady = 54%
Johnny Jones = 56%

Other notable coaches
Scott Drew = 41%
Coach K = 56%

WILL WADE = 68%

Man i wont lie you people deserve a johnny jones! Most of you f###### just started watching when we got in top 25. I have been watching since the brady days. So yes I watched every game in the trent johnson and johnny jones era. You guys really are some miserable f####. After last season i said we would lucky to be 500. What he has done should have him in discussion for coach of the year.

No. Hes kind of at a plateau, but that doesn't mean he's peaked. Its a pretty nice plateau.

He has not accomplished anything worth categorizing as a peak.
