i'm not so sure about that, especially on a team who desperately needs a running game
that's the point. i'm pretty sure ever NFL head coach would prefer a guy who runs for a consistent, solid average than one who is a crappy runner but good on swing passes. that's why bush would run more if he ran better
payton, however, maybe be an exception, b/c he has martz syndrome sometimes

Bush has been much better and a more complete player this year compared to last year to say the least.
His between the tackles running is still work in progress (he never really had to in college because Lendale White was the thunder to his outside running lightning) but everything else is there. He makes plays in space, he's a hell of a punt returner and hes starting to stop all this running backwards to try to gain extra yards stuff in favor of putting his head down and taking the hit for 3 more yards.
I really look at Bush and see good things in a few years..if you look at Brian Westbrook (they compare very favorably) it took him a while to get accustomed to running in the NFL. Once he figured out how to run between the tackles he blew up.
Bush doesn't get a whole lot of help from the O-line either, though, which I think gets glossed over too much. Even when Deuce is getting his yards it's after contact in most cases. A guy meets him in the hole, he bounces off of him and gets 4 or 5 on his own.

Saints would be 0-5 without him.

hey SFP... you're wrong AGAIN... shocking.
the raiders are game planning against bush just like every other team.
