How will the Bills respond next season?

We’ve seen some absolutely brutal losses in our time, and the responses always make for an interesting case study.
For me, seeing the Spurs lose a 3-2 against the Heat in 2013 had me depressed for a while. I couldn’t sleep the night of the Game 6 loss, because I feared the worst for Game 7. They actually showed up and played well, but the defeat seemed inevitable. Their redemption tour the following season, complete with their demolition of the Heat (effectively ending that Big 3) is movie worthy.
People have referenced the heartbreaking Chiefs loss to NE in the AFCCG, and they responded by winning it all next year.
For football, it seemed like the Colts had to exorcise some demons before winning the SB over the Bears.
Obviously, there are plenty of examples of a team that loses in heartbreaking fashion and either fades away or never gets over the hump in following years.
Does this Bills team have what it takes to use the fire to win it all next year?

The salary cap is expected to grow to $208.2 million in 2022. That's a 14.1% increase from the 2021 salary cap.
The Bills are expected to have just more than $7.5 million in salary cap space, eighth lowest in the NFL, according to Over The Cap. Buffalo has 41 players under contract in 2022.
Buffalo could release center Mitch Morse to save $8.5 million in cap space while taking a $2.75 million hit in dead money. The Bills could save $6.1 million with $1.5 million in dead cap by parting ways with wide receiver Cole Beasley. They could also save $5.1 million by releasing linebacker A.J. Klein. with only $400,000 in dead money.

The Bills seem like a franchise destined to be torture for their fans.

Josh Allen will be elite
LBLs will be drank
Bills will be in playoffs
Those are guarantees, rest is up to fate

Make the playoffs...lose in spectacular heart breaking fashion. Some franchises were just born to choke and the bills have perfected it.

With Allen at QB they're always going to be at the very top. The biggest change would be if Daboll leaves for a HC job.

Pay my man Levi Wallace

14-3, #1 seed, lose the AFCCG at home to the Chiefs in an absolute fluke of a game despite Allen clearly outclassing Mahomes.

Losing some depth, but probably not enough to be threatened in the AFC East unless Mac makes a heckuva jump. They'll need to find a new #1 in the near future, didn't realize Diggs was nearing 30. He will want a new contract after next year.

They found him already Gabriel Davis

I get the feeling that 10 years from now the question will be “How many Super Bowls would the Bills have won if not for Patrick Mahomes”

There is some vague scuttlebutt about Morse possibly retiring. With the development of Davis there is no reason to resign Sanders unless maybe you lose both Beasley and McKenzie in FA. May also have to replace both coordinators.
OTOH it will be an attractive destination for veterans who are more interested in finally getting a ring than collecting one last big check. Hard to say how they will respond without knowing who the coordinators are going to be but one thing is safely certain to say--they will have the best quarterback in their division and it will be a Rodgersian proportian sized gap between Allen and the runner-up.

Should’ve kept the #10 pick in the 2017 draft..

There are so many good young QBs in the AFC - I expect home field advantage to play a bigger role over the next decade

They kinda shite the bed this season by not securing HFA. They stayed healthy almost the entire year other than White getting hurt. The Jags loss loomed large, plus the Steelers game early in the year.
They’ll bring most of their entire team back other than Emmanuel Sanders (who barely played vs KC) and maybe DEs Jerry Hughes or Mario Addison, who are role players in this stage of their career. Obviously Tre White being back will help.
They have contract decisions coming on up MLB Trumaine Edumunds and Harrison Philips. Edmunds will be one to watch bc he’s made the pro bowl but his play is inconsistent. They can always tag him for now. Levi Wallace is a solid player but they need another CB. Their pass rush still is mediocre.
Josh Allen‘s cap hit is only $16M or so in 2022, so they’ll be one of the best teams in the league again. The AFC East looks to be on the weaker side again, but that can change quickly. The Jets have tons of picks and money to spend. The Dolphins are solid and Tua can potentially take a jump. The Pats aren’t going to suck.
