Just to let you know I know the lady that was car jacked and shot, and she is a mother of young kids.

One of my best friends daughter was attempted carjacked by gun on Christmas Eve at 930 pm on Jefferson Ave.

We have had multiple kids killed so far this year by murder.

I believe we are at a murder a day so far in 2022.

when is violent crime ever acceptable or are you just trolling?

Being that I know him I pray he’s trolling. I would bet a large sum of money against him that if he were to call friends in my presence and ask them what their biggest concerns in life are right now in New Orleans number one will be crime from everyone.

You might have some blighted homes, but I am in that neighborhood every day of the year. Walking, eating and with my friends and family. Never, has it been a crime-ridden area since they revamp of Freret took place 15-20 years ago.

All in all, it is like any other NOLA neighborhood - nice homes mixed in with low income. We live together. We worship together. We survive together.

Where is Cantrell? Where is Jason Williams?....in lieu of crippling our remaining society and businesses with COVID mandates and taking a progressive approach on crime, maybe they should stand up together and fight crime head on. But, them (and Berg) are apparently ok with violent crime taking over the city - no matter what neighborhood it is in.

Exactly this. Anytime there is a press conference about Covid she practically second lines up to the podium with the medical director.
Any time Ferguson does a press conference about crime, Teedy is nowhere to be found.

Yeah, it’s not a bad area at all anymore, especially closer to Jefferson Ave and south of Freret Street. The closer you get toward Claiborne, the houses aren’t in the best of shape and mostly renters occupy them. But even in those areas I have seen a proliferation of renovations/tear downs. The neighborhood is nothing like it was 15 years ago, that’s for sure.

Holy shot that's the same suv that two women used yesterday to try and steal a car uptown but couldn't because it was a standard.

Here's my solution for carjackers.
Every time they are caught, go out to the Fly and make them walk the walkway out into the river and jump. No jail. Just toss em in the river.

I saw yesterday new Grafitti on the railroad underpass going into the city praising Latoya. I've never seen graffiti praise like that.

I went to that new Rouses at 6pm yesterday. Driving out I was really realizing how much nicer the homes are starting to look between Claiborne and freret. They are getting cleaned up for sure.

It’s funny that the people from Baton Rouge think that doesn’t happen there. It’s probably per capita a greater chance of it happening there.
