I know I’m in the tiny minority here, but if you have to get a side gig for fricking beer money, you are a trashy mother fricker with an alcohol problem and need to reevaluate your whole life.

Don't listen to these people, doing more work to get more money is all good. Just be thinking of your next step or two up the ladder to getting more money for working less or the same. Don't get comfortable.

Right out of LSU I began part-time teaching:
- taught MS-DOS, Wordperfect and Lotus 123 to a bunch of Exxon admins in BTR.
- taught at one of those computer schools for a couple years, community college then VCU for ten years...lots of coed fun.
- Software consulting off-n-on for years
- Real estate (flipping and rentals for 10 years) - that was like another full-time job - worked every night until 10 and most Saturdays
- now, nearing retirement, i just have one prime rental left and i have a really small landscape biz
My father told me a man should make all the money he can while he can. I took his advice.

Good for you(I mean that): your work ethic is to be commended. Just have to apply that ethic to a more profitable endeavor and you’d be all set.

DD sucks. I did Waitr after one of the baws on here said he was making 6 figures and I was making about $1300/wk doing part time hours but they changed their pay structure that would have cut what I made drastically. Now I do uber and make $300-$400 in an 8 hour shift. Plenty of weekends I made $1000+ on less than 20 hours. I do it because I went back to school, I'd never consider this long term. Some nights are pretty fun, Halloween weekend was a blast and my most common customers are groups of sorority girls dressed (barely) to go out.
If you don't drive the right times you are not making shite though. You can go make $15-$20/hr anytime but I tend to get off if I am not clearing $30+ an hour. I averaged over $40/hr for the year which was pretty much just the fall semester.

I max my HSA and Roth and contribute up to my employers match in my 401k.
Id love to find something to make $750/month that I could just blow and not feel bad about it.

How much time do you spend standing around in restaurants waiting for food? I see the drivers when I’m picking up to go food and they all look like they are pissed off at the world

Better be paying them taxes on that "beer money". Uncle Sam needs his cut.

For someone who lives off the government it’s hard for you to appreciate actual work wheels.

Get on Tinder and start smashing randos every night.
That is good use of time.
