CBK knows a lot more than me, and I trust his plan.

But LSU needs to let these 5 star divas only chasing $$ go to Bama & ATM. Those guys will be leaving after one year of little playing time based on the egos this money is giving them.

We can target these guys in the portal if we have holes to fill. That way we can see if they are even worth the money.

Anyone else think we should let other programs be the Guinea pigs?

How many high profile players do you see transferring out of Georgia and Alabama each year?

This is exactly how you get left behind in college football.

Swallow your pride and play ball or we won’t be winning for a while

Those Fukin punks don’t care about playing time. Fukin checks keep clearing they stay and party.

So you think we should just let the other top teams sign all the 5-stars, figure out which are the best, keep them, then cull the ones that didn’t pan out and push them to us?

That’s your plan?

You guys are lying to yourself if y’all don’t think LSU will be doing the same exact thing.

ANY of you, whether for or against NIL, who are basing what you are saying about LSU recruiting going forward on what is happening right now are pissing in the wind. It’s a complete waste of time.

Transition year recruiting is a completely different animal. It’s about holding onto what you can and signing the guys who connect with what you are selling in a short period of time. That’s particularly difficult now because of ESD.

Another thing many of you seem to be missing is that relationships STILL MATTER. The NIL money only works when you have that first. We likely lost any shot at Perkins and Harris because of their position coaches leaving/being replaced. Money alone doesn’t fix that. Again, you guys are basing what you think the future will be on a coaching transition class. Whether it’s good or bad, next year and going forward won’t look anything like this.

There is only one thing I look at as a positive sign that MIGHT translate to the future. It’s that Boutte evidently did get an NIL deal and it sounds like he’s changed his tune to being “locked in” since then. If holding on to the top players we have is the priority, then applying NIL dollars there is the best way to use them today.

Before bashing 18 year old kids, ask yourself what would you do.

This is how you quickly become irrelevant.
