Covid is like toe jam. Everyone is going to get it, just don’t talk about it.

How she’s handled the Covid thing is kind of odd. She’s my infectious disease doctor for my chronic lung disease and she’s handled that brilliantly. She is one of the few doctors in Louisiana that understands my condition well. Even my infectious disease doctors at MD Anderson agreed with how she has treated all my infections. At the end of the day it is her opinion. She doesn’t run LDH nor does she want to. The final say so on anything is the government officials.

Let me ask you this. In normal times, do hospitals typically have a glut of empty rooms? We’ve heard for almost two years now exactly how many Covid patients are hospitalized. Has there been a significant increase in total hospitalizations in that time? Or are these Covid patients just taking the place of the same number of people who have been hospitalized with other things like flu, etc.?
Better yet, if low hospital bed capacity is such a big deal, why in the heck did our politicians not spend a single penny of the trillion dollars thrown at COVID over the last two years to BUILD MORE HOSPITALS AND INCREASE NURSE SALARY TO PREVENT JOB LOSSES?????

It’s all a bunch of hypocritical hand wringing and any of these people shutting down kids sports should be jailed if they come anywhere near the PMAC!

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

A month ago, there were less than 10 covid patients in the hospital I work at, now there are over 40.
question… the over 40 with Covid, are they in the hospital due to Covid related symptoms/issues, or were they tested upon entering hospital for say a car wreck, surgery, etc? I’m sitting here with Covid right now and I’ve had yearly colds worse than this BS. I have the sniffles, a slight dry cough and a mild sore throat.

"So here’s a question: do they test everyone admitted regardless of what they’re admitted for???"

Hell yes, tests are being pushed at practically every health care facility because they receive a fee for any and every encounter with a Covid-positive person. It is disturbing that there is no longer any mention of the fact that the tests are neither valid nor reliable and are widely known for producing enormously high numbers of false positives.

If our “media” had an ounce of integrity, they’d have asked for an update on that. But we know how that is.

But the fact is this, actual covid hospitalizations are up. So people's view on what to do will change from a month ago.
