Just a roster spot and you pick up his contract. Honestly may not be a bad pickup using the Kira exception, but his 30% from 3 this season has to worry you.
On another note, NAW and Hayes for KPJ and Wood, who says no first?

You don't seriously want kpj or wood, do you?

No, I would rather keep Hayes and NAW. I just figured I would be the first to say it before anyone else.

On KPJ vs NAW:
Both chuck up some stupid arse shots, are inefficient, and not as good as you'd hope
However, NAW realizes that he struggles and tries to play within the system, giving up the ball, etc. KPJ is a headcase and just demands it or throws some shite up.
- So gimme NAW > KPJ
Wood vs Hayes:
Both are athletic, however one knows how to play basketball fairly well. The other still hasn't gotten it yet.
Wood is truly king of stat padding (ala hassan whiteside) and his stats do not contribute to wins. Hayes on the other hand is just young and stupid, whether the light ever turns on...IDK but the last 3 games look solid from him. 15/7/1 shooting >50% in 24 MPG. Hayes still costs less...
So Hayes > Wood

sad commentary.

The Los Angeles Lakers are finalizing trading Denzel Valentine to the New York Knicks as part of what is now a three-team deal sending Rajon Rondo to the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

you had me at hassan whiteside

Knicks are acquiring Denzel Valentine in a three-way deal with Lakers and Cavs for $1.1M, two draft-rights players for the draft rights to Louis Labeyrie, sources tell ESPN. Knicks will make a decision today on keeping Valentine or providing him opportunity to sign elsewhere.

Surprised we didn't jump into this.

Rockets suspended both of them for a game. Christian Wood got his bag, 40+ million guaranteed. I guess KPJ is too much of an idiot to realize this petty stuff is going to cost you money.
KPJ is like prime example of a guy this board would absolutely detest. Im not a big +/- stat guy, but he has a negative +/- in 17 of his 22 games

The Knicks are waiving Denzel Valentine, freeing the five-year veteran to enter free agency, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
Can't hurt to use the Kira exception on him.

Utah has traded Miye Oni and a 2028 2nd to OKC for Cash.
Oni will be waived.
He's not what we need here, but just passing along the info. Shams and Woj both have reported it.

He's one of a number of players on a partially-guaranteed deal whose contract would become fully guaranteed on Friday.
By the way, our own Gary Clark is in that same boat. I wonder if we will keep him.

Depends on what they plan to do with Didi.
Maybe they'll bring Didi back and just slide Clark into the Kira exception, that would suck though.

More specifically, sources say Kings owner Vivek Ranadive has continued to make it clear to McNair that he has the green light to do whatever is necessary to meet those goals. And while the Kings would prefer to keep building around De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton, their strong appetite to improve means that no player is off the table in terms of potential talks. – via Sam Amick @ The Athletic

I'll take one De'Aron Fox with a side of Bagley please.
Unless Haliburton is truly on the table, give me Hal, Buddy and Bagley.

That report seems to make us as a trade partner seem less and less likely.
The sense before that it seemed many had was that the Kings were looking to build out with the new guys and maybe move off players like Fox to pave that way. This signals ownership and the GM are on a win now mission, which means a package centered around firsts isn't getting you far.
Unless we want to part with Jonas, BI, Graham, Herb, or Zion, I don't see them making a direct deal with us that involves us receiving a significant player of theirs.

Or we could jump in as a third team with someone else.
Pacers seem intent to move Sabonis or Turner, but they don't have a need for a guard, instead they would want a young wing, which we maybe able to provide, along with cap relief.
Say they send Sabonis to Kings, we send Trey with Kira and 2 picks to Pacers, Hayes, Hart and Sato to Kings along with a pick, Kings send Halliburton, Bagley and Hield to Pels (or Fox and Bagley).
That seems to be the framework of something that may entice both the Pacers and Kings based on the rumors about them.

Why in the world would Josh Hart want to play in Indiana? Hart's deal is one that he can void at the end of the season, so he's only getting traded to a team that wants him for a playoff run, or to a team where he wants to stay long-term.
