I am looking for a nice place too to dine with my g/f... Peninsula grill looks nice. It says jacket preferred but I'm combining the florida/USC trip so I won't have room to pack a jacket. Think they would care that much especially if you sat outside?

Not fine dining, but a friend of mine's son opened a soul/New Orleans/low country food type restaurant there called the Glass Onion. Another friend of mine ate there last week and enjoyed it very much. She said the poboys were made with Leidenheimer bread, so they are doing that up right.

No, you'll be fine without a jacket inside or out. Slacks and a button-down will work.
