He wasn't born on 12/25, the early church assigned that date to supercede the Pagan Saturnalia festival. He was likely born in April.

Pretty sure, in that part of the world, especially when Jesus was walking the earth, the legal drinking age was much lower. He was probably getting wasted at like 14.
