Really clueless of the essentials for a mini bar. Liquor, mixers, etc. Roughly 40 adults. Any help is appreciated.

Couple of handles of Tito’s. Couple of handles of makers. Bottle or two of gin. Sprite/Diet Coke/coke. Orange juice. Cranberry juice.

That ought to be enough to get you started.

Throw in some bitters, simple syrup, club soda, tonic water, and cut up citrus. Maybe ginger beer if anyone wants a Moscow Mule.

For one gathering though, I would honestly just keep it super simple depending on what you and your guests like. Pick either martinis, margaritas, or whiskey cocktails.

Martini bar:

Go to Sam's/Costco get Gin, Vodka, dry vermouth, olives, lemon for garnish

Margarita bar:

Tequila, limes, orange liqueur, simple syrup, margarita salt

Whiskey Bar:

High rye Bourbon, bitters, simple syrup, sweet vermouth, oranges for garnish

At family gatherings, when I was a kid, I would always sneak a glass or two of 7 & 7...

Bottle's of Vodka, ,Bourbon, Whiskey, and Rum

variety of craft beer and regular beer

White and red wines.

Depending on how drunk you want everyone to get then adjust the quantities.

40 adults.

If you plan for 3 drinks each with 2oz of liquor in each drink you’ll need

40x3x2=240oz=7090ML

So you need roughly 7000ML of liquor or 10 750MLs

4 Whiskey
4 Vodka
2 Gin

Coke
Sprites
Juices
Etc
