Probably Stephanie Rempe. She did a good job marketing. Terrible plan implementation though. Our plan was basically stay out of it and let local businesses do the work. We are finding out now, that you have to play a little dirty.

Pretty sure they hired the agency that represents Texas and some of the other big schools

No longer needed.

And I’d say a combo of the 3 others.

I actually think CBK was hired for his ability to gauge talent that hasn’t risen the star rankings of others in order to get them in cheaper. Time will tell though. I think we’re heading into a period where good coaches will be in very short supply.

TAF should be manning it with input from the football department.

It can’t be anyone inside the program. Why is this so hard for people to understand? They need to have someone adjacent to the program working with the boosters and the players.

Boosters need to organize, create a LLC, put money into it, hire a manger, and have the guy get in front of players & recruits or their families to explain how they’re going to pay them legally to make social media posts periodically or do public advertising’s to promote their business’.

It's the same person that was responsible to promote Damone Clark for the Dick Butkus Award. Oh wait

It's crystal clear that there is zero enforcement on any rules and regulations. For that reason, Woodward >> TAF >> Kelly.

All have vested interests in getting it done. This should have been Woodward's wheelhouse. I wonder if he had to make a decision this year due to the money being spent on getting rid of Orgeron.

I’m gonna start by saying this is my opinion and based on zero insight or actual facts.

I think it’s a lingering issue from the O regime. O didn’t adapt to change very well.

1) He lost his coordinators and couldn’t get good ones to replace them cuz he wouldn’t change his systems on either side of the ball.

2) we were shite during the covid season cuz O didn’t do a good job adapting to that environment.

3) O missed on year 1 of NIL deals by not making sure all his big name players were taken care of. The easy examples are Ricks and Boutte. One is gone and one is flirting with leaving cuz O didn’t line their pockets.

4) which leads me to believe that we are behind in the NIL stuff cuz O wasn’t forward thinking enough. He either couldn’t predict the way other schools would use NIL deals to lure players or he did predict it but wasn’t organized enough to set up a similar system to use at LSU.

I think we are behind but will catch up as soon as BK has the time to get his ducks in a row.

As of 2 weeks ago (before signing day), Florida made a change to a law and updated their NIL rule. Anyone can now call the Univ of Florida and have this conversation with their compliance department
"I would like to cut a 20K check for player xyz on the swim team" The compliance will accept the funds and get it to the player.

What's the procedure at LSU?
Whatever it is, why is not being promoted?

I remember Coach O being asked about NIL and he said something to the effect of he believes the atheletes should receive some compensation but if they are coming to LSU to make a career out it that they may want to look elsewhere.
Currently it seems to me that LSU doesnt want to get into the big number game but thats just my opinion. I ok with that. If LSU had just bought their way into a #1 recruiting class I dont think thats something I would be proud of.
I see turmol coming to these schools bankrolling their rosters.

Oh look another thread where someone ask about NIL……..just stop for the love of god. LSU can and will pay the players. It’s a new coaching staff at a program that’s been .500 the last two years. LSU has money knows how to pay players and will be way above average in this.
