I nominate pharmacy drive thrus. I don't understand what could possibly take so long in these lines? I've never been to an efficient one where pharmacy techs look like they're actually trying to not waste your time.

They're busy doing the "One for you, one for me...." count.

For pharmacies, it's usually the stupid arse customers that frick up the lines, not the employees

You're interrupting their discussion on how it sucks to work in a pharmacy.

I’m not even sure what would make a person even consider the drive through at pharmacy for. That has got to take forever

My experience is people trying to get their pain pills a few days early

Went to CVS to pick up a Rx for my son the other day, and I guess I was a day late so they put it back on the shelf.

Girl said it would be like 2 hours. I wanted to ask how in hell it takes 2 hours to take pills from a large bottle and put them in a small bottle.

Seriously, wtf?

Think the worst by far are fast food joints located in or near hoods.

Cause it’s first come first serve Dan!

Seriously, you waited over a week to pick up your son meds and you’re gonna bitch about them taking 2 hours to fill the script when you finally decide to bless them with your presence?

Because you're not the only one waiting. Imagine the person before you did that as well, ontop of the drivethru doing that, another one calling in a script, and not including the other 50 scripts that was e-scribed in the past 4 hours.

Now imagine filling 250 prescriptions a day for a pharmacist (that's how much my friend does at a semi-busy walgreens). On a 12 hour shift that's, 21 an hour, that's <3 minutes a script -- without taking a break.

There's also the whole verification process the pharmacists have to do which is asinine in itself. That tech is saying 2 hours because they dont want to go bother the pharmacist to make your script oh so important (scripts typically are filled and held for 7-14 days depending on the pharmacy) and simply put it into the queue

It was 3 days. I checked the automated text messages.

Everywhere is like this now anyway.

Can't walk in to get a haircut at SportsClips without first signing in on the app. Otherwise you'll be waiting over an hour. Walk in to an empty waiting area and you're still 8th in line.

New times.

Popeyes

Typical experience:

Went to one in Ferriday two weekends ago. Multiple cars in drive-thru asked to pull forward and park. I wait impatiently as employee brings me my order. I can tell it’s not my order and inform the idiot. She looks at SUV driving away and says “dat man jus took yo order”.

This person has no concept of taking responsibility and just like a large portion of the population, she believes everything wrong in her life is someone else’s fault.

This is a true story: I was at the counter at Walgreens when a woman pulled up to the drive-thru window and asked the pharmacist if it's possible to get hay fever from hay in a guinea pig cage.

I swear the local pharmacy here has shorted my GF on her adderall script before. She always thinks it’s one of our friends who steal some but she hides them well I keep telling her to count that shite before she leaves the parking lot

The idea is to have it called in and you go later when it’s ready. But a lot of dumbasses will go and wait 20 min holding up the line until the script is ready. At least the local place here makes them get out of the line until it’s ready
