Some posters on UT shaggy Texas say Walter Nolan got 600K to sign. Not NIL but cash under the table. Aggy took the Bama church money laundering approach.

In the age of NIL, why would anybody do this? Unless Jimbo wrote out the check himself, that money came from boosters. Boosters who most likely own a business or run a business. It's so easy to say "Walter Nolan, here's 600k to advertise for insert name of local Ford dealer here". Any school that is still illegally paying players via the old bag man system is doing it wrong IMO

Over half a million for a guy who’s never played a down of college football. Seems ridiculous to me
