Or are we going to keep the same permanent opponents and just have Missouri play A&M each year?

AR to play Mizzou
LSU to play USCe
UF to play A&M

very very likely that this is what happens (especially the A&M UF part), according to our A&M insiders.

I'll take whoever we're given...as long as we are out of this POS conference.

Columbia Mo newspaper indicated that Mo officials were told they would play A & M, so as to not change the current match ups. So I guess we are still stuck with the Gators.

Mizzou wants to continue to recruit in Texas and have a game there every other year....the only question is, why does Mizzou have any leverage in the discussion? If LSU really wanted to trade UF for USC, why did LSU not win that one?

And why does it not make MORE sense for Mizzou's permanent rival to be Arkansas, who is closer to them than any SEC school?

Learn to SEC!!1 Arky now has USCe. Distance isn't the biggest part of the decision.

I'm glad that we're going to continue to play Florida. It's always a good game and even though they beat the crap out of us when they were good, LSU/Florida is usually a good game. Some of you "fans" wanting LSU to drop Florida because they beat our arses quite a bit, make LSU and its fanbase, look like LSU is chickenshit to play quality/good teams. Every school has its ups and downs. LSU avoided playing a good Georgia team when H. Walker was there. Ga. simply wasn't on our schedule during his tenure there. I guess when Auburn and A&M become as good as LSU and Bama currently are, some of you "fans" will be screaming to change divisions.

Because it's in everyone's interests to have as many strong football programs in the SEC as possible. Look at where Mizzou was before they started recruiting Texas.

Seeing as how LSU is gonna start dominating the UF game for a couple of years, I don't think it should end.

And since when the hell did tamu become UTJr? The entire 'Mizzou to the East' Controversy came into existence because of the Tennessee-Bama rivalry. Now if rivalries are so important we aren't getting rid of them, why the hell would the LSU/UF rivalry get dropped?

The only permanent opponent that has a chance of being changed is the Arky/USCe rivalry, which was formed on the basis of 'it made sense at the time'

Well either way, one East team gets to tell kids "we place in Texas every other year".

More power to Mizzou if they get to be the ones to say it, but you've got to think UF and USC would have liked it too.

And it is widely known that UF and LSU may want out of that arrangement. I'm not demanding that it end, I'm just repeating what I've heard several times about YOU two wanting it to end. I've also seen/heard Arkansas and Mizzou fans wanting to play each other every year, because it makes more geographic sense than each one playing in Texas and South Carolina, respectively.
