If Missouri and A&M are in the west will BAMA or Auburn shift to the east? It doesn't make sense for anyone else to be there...

Alabama makes the most sense in order to preserve the Iron Bowl and the Tennessee rivalry.

Send them both to the east and bring Florida to the west.

Fla will never agree to go west. Outside of USC, They are most eastern team of all, geographically speaking. Really, you could move MSU to the East and make Ole Miss their cross-rival then that way no significant rivalries are lost. However, the balance of power would swing even more to West. As far as balance, Auburn to the East makes the most sense. Looking at all-time winning %, this scenario provides an almost equal % between the two divisions.

Move Auburn to the East, and bring their turn in Alabama's Eastern foe rotation up to the next two schedules. TN could remain Alabama's permanent opponent.

I'm going on the premise Auburn could be back in the West after those two seasons, due to the high probability of eastern expansion to 16 teams.

I have no idea whether they would or not, but if they could keep Georgia as their permanent inter-divisional rival, I don't see why they wouldn't agree. Most of their traditional (pre-1992) rivals are in the West, and only one (Georgia) is in the East. Auburn would be another one, but they already quit playing Auburn every year with the schedule format change in 2002.
