not to mention the geography fits a lot better.

and as an added bonus, they bring a smaller fanbase and no new markets

If you want to pilfer from a state the SEC is already in, I'd take FSU and Clemson way before Ga Tech (sorry TEB)

I'm over 60 and grew up in Jackson, Miss. I was a little kid about 6 or 7 when our next door neighbor got a football scholarship to Ga. Tech. He used to send us pennants and stuff back from Atlanta.

I remember them having a very good football program, it's a shame they left. Dad had gone to LSU and later I did also. He took my brother and I to the '58 and '59 Ole Miss games, both in Baton Rouge. If they weren't rated #1 an #2 in those games it was very close. What great memories.

I don't want GT in the SEC, think they are just fine where they are. They are with a bunch of programs they can compete with, nothing wrong with that.

Missouri a better option? Good luck with all that - no history and now cut off from their Texas recruiting pipeline. I guess the SEC needs to add another UK (but without the basketball tradition either) every once in awhile too.

now someone explain to me why their texas pipeline is cut off, It wont do anything but help their recruiting. play in a watered down big 12 or come play in the sec, which would you rather do?

Would you rather win 9 games or 5 in a season?

Just saying. It's really gonna be a matter of chick or the egg. Do they up their recruiting before they start losing more games?
