Geographically there is no where to logically split it where the divisions arent lopsided.

However, i do feel that the OP's idea, while not logical geographically, is the most fair with the current state of the sec. The problem is that that state changes. Stick with east west.

The decision on how to schedule and split the conference will have an effect on the programs to some extent. It would be best to avoid bias in the way the set up occurs. Geography would be a non biased way of doing it, but teams want to tailor it to themselves.

North: Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt

South: Georgia Auburn, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M

Bama and LSU really need to be split up.

Why, because they are 1 and 2 at the moment? Not too long ago the east was beating their chest about being head and shoulders above the west....things change.
