It means that Mizzou must withdraw from the Big12 before the SEC will act.

I don't know what the upside is for Mizzou to wait any longer...IF they have an unofficial invite.

The Big 12 wants them out ASAP if they are indeed leaving.

If Mizzou wants out, it needs to follow the path just completed by A&M. The first step is the step you mentioned.

this all sounds extremely similar to when A&M was in the process of leaving.

Is A&M now participating and/or voting in these meetings, or do they have to wait until July 1st?

They have to wait for ESPN to bless their departure!

It's possible Mizzou is either stubborn, or very slow on the uptake where this kind of thing is concerned. Or else they are maybe still quietly flirting with B1G and hoping for the phone to ring before midnight.

yea, the process is the same for everyone except the big 12 who just comes right our and invites tcu. guess they aren't worried about getting sued by ken starr.

There was rumored to be a straw poll vote on Mizzou today. They were never going to acknowledge that though, so I wouldn't read anything into the statement.

Ags shouldn't have any say so in this. We are still Big XII until July. Can't be double dippin.

so you think we should still be able to vote on Big 12 matters such as extending TCU an invitation?

ACC took pitt and cuse while they are still in the BE.

Maybe Mizzou is wanting its invite before it leaves the Big 12. That is not completely unreasonable. If something happened and no sec invite came, they could be stuck in the BE.

Do yall think the Big12 would offer financial incentives for Mizzou to stick around? If so Mizzou could just be making noise and rattling sabres.

Ethically, it would be hard for them to demand equal revenue sharing then take a payment to stick around.

No I don't. I expect that there is some agreement that A&M gave the nod on saying that we are excluded from Big XII business from here until July. We are currently a man without a country, voting wise.
