Hearing the SEC vote to admit Texas A&M was 10-2 and that West Virginia is squarely on the SEC radar as a potential 14th member.

but may go after Mizzou if other teams start to leave the Big 12 (Okie schools or UT)

SEC didn't want to touch Missouri for fear of collapsing B12. With B12 on verge of collapse now anyway, SEC may not be so cautious with MU.

Not saying Chip is in the neighborhood of correct, but I had thought Slive would only do it if it was unanimous. I had heard Vandy was opposed wonder who the other might have been (if he's even right)

I hope he waits then. West Virginia isn't going anywhere and I would much rather have Missouri. Absolutely no need to rush.

I don't follow Chip Brown.

Does he know his stuff or is he FOS?

He tends to throw shite against the wall to see if it sticks, but it seems like he's usually wrong more in regards to stories involving UT. He recently said they might head to the ACC, for instance.

WVU will come in a heartbeat. They were all pissed when they got left out of the ACC expansion and relegated to the Big Least.

Not sure how they stack up as far as an overall sports program.

They'd immediately be the 3rd best basketball team, possibly 2nd best.

I'd be ok with WVU because it would leave the current SEC West intact.

That would be true at the beginning, but that seems like a big risk. Don't they recruit Big East territory? It could kill their program.

I think the number one goal is keeping the divisions in tact. If this is the case then A&M comes in first in the West followed by either Virginia Tech or West Virginia in the East.

I mentioned in another post that the AD from West Virginia was salivating on the microphone during the rain delay Sunday about coming to the SEC.

If any AD in his situation wasn't salivating about that possibility, he should be fired on the spot.

Chip Brown has not-well-hidden strings attached straight to the UT AD. He says nothing without an agenda.

Ehh they Got Bob Huggins though.

That enough brings in good recruits.

I'd like it bring in Huggins and Holgorsen, they can hang out with Stephen Garcia.

Was wondering the same thing. Even if they do, they will probably get throttled in the SEC.

EDIT: Apparently they do, their field seats 1,500 and they haven't been to regionals since 96

Whatever, they're solid in the two most prominent sports and we will need an easy W in baseball with an SEC schedule plus all the Texas non con games
