Your thoughts on Jimbo vs. O's chances of heading up the 2017 team.

With Fla St.'s two missteps this year and Coach Ogeron's impressive debut as the LSU coach, has your expectation of each of their chances to take the helm changed?

Should we even still be considering Jimbo? Should we seriously consider keeping Ogeron?

Not part of this discussion, but this is more relevant of a question considering Texas will be pressing for Herman.

Damn, you people have no confidence. Texas has a bad game and might fire their coach and you're ready to give up on us getting herman. I hope you people don't give up this easily in life.

Yes Jimbo has proven to be a coach who can be very successful at a big time program including rebuilding them after Bowden, recruiting top 5 classes and developing quarterbacks and offenses. His problem right now is his defense. He is not a defensive coach. Pairing Jimbo with Aranda would be a great situation for LSU. Even without Aranda LSU offers Jimbo the ability to go out and find a DC with a budget that exceeds 1 million. At FSU they are not willing to pay assistants.

I still think Herman should and will be the first target.

Yes but he will more than likely go to Texas so you need to have your second options interest gauged.

If Jimbo wants to be here then O doesn't have a chance. I love O and want him on the staff next year but lsu isn't going to turn down Jimbo or Herman no matter what O's record is this season.

I hope you are right, but I think LSU is just looking around and may just sit back and allow Texas to get him.

I think it's Jimbo first, I would love O if he keeps the hot hand which I think he will. The man brings Fire but I'm praying that Joe A don't screw this up which is also a possibility. Jimbo has a great track record as a Head Coach and can develop Qbs and has a offense mind that can mold around any style Qb. LSU has his style players where all he has to do is take the keys to the Car and run with it. That's if Joe A isn't dumb and passes over O. I really like O so for so good though. Players are circling the wagon baby. They really wanted to run through brick walls last night for O. You could tell with that D, they were pushing hard for that goose egg and liked to have got it if not for that tecmo bowl play Lol

If you don't see how obvious it is that Herman is going to Texas, then you're either in denial or just plain delusional. It's pretty apparent to everyone else in the country that he'll be the next HC at Texas. Just read the Texas message boards; they're already acting like it's a done deal.

LSU will likely land Jimbo, if the Coach O experiment doesn't work out. That's my guess.

Louisville is a better team than Missouri. North Carolina probably is too.

Our message boards were saying Jimbo was a done deal at LSU last year. LITERALLY. So forgive me if I don't take UT message boards acting like Herman to Texas is a done deal as gospel truth.

We're not going to give up on Herman, but if he falls through then we need a backup plan that includes coach O, Jimbo, Fedora, Kleiman, among others. Plenty of good plan B coaches.

Let's all crawl up in a fetal position because the dumpster fire that is Texas wants to hire another coach. Do you sit back like a little bitch and let people run over you? LSU is going to make a strong run at herman and he'll make a decision. Luckily, people who make the big decisions in life are nothing like you.

I'm not saying to give up. Go ahead, make a run at him, give him a blank check, whatever. He's not coming here. The sooner you accept that the better off you'll be.

We should listen to you when your source is a Texas football forum?

I've been noticing you since your first post and from day 1 you've made it an effort to tell everyone that Herman is not a possibility. Your reasons have differed each time.

I think you're a troll maybe even a Houston fan.
