how college football HC searches work. and you have either forgotten or simply don't know or have a historical conception of reality.
SUCCESSFUL HC'S AT TOP PROGRAMS DO NOT LEAVE AND GO TO ANOTHER PROGRAM. seldom. I can't think of one.
Saban went to Bama from a crappy NFL team; ditto Harbaugh to Michigan. most top coaches at top programs come from smaller programs.
I applaud Alleva for going for the top in either Fisher or Herman but, unless Herman spurns Tejas, we are going to have to go for a successful Coach at a smaller program or Coach O.
this is NO reflection on LSU; it's the nature of the beast. top coaches at top programs change only if there is some huge compelling reason (positive or negative). Alleva was facing an uphill battle from the get go.
there are plenty of quality HC's out there left on our board.

The dolphins weren't crappy and Harbaugh went to 3 NFC championships and a super bowl with the 9ers
Carry on

Common sense has no place on this board

We got Saban from Michigan State. So there's that.

This is the worrying thing for me. I don't give a shite about Herman or Fisher because they weren't likely to come here. But to just give up at our third option? Come on Alleva, show some nards.

Do you think Houston is a top program?
What in the world?

What about Beilema to Arkansas? Some would argue he took a step down. Sorry to end your thread so soon.

And houston is suddenly a top program?
Take your metamucil and hit the sack old man.

Your post is the truth but this board isn't big on truth.

People are mad because there is no indication from anywhere that we would do an actual coaching search if we strike out on Herman and Fisher. Instead it sounds like the AD is just gonna say frick it and hire O without due diligence.

And coaches that went 10-25 and got fired do not get hired again at a top program. IT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN.

If there are so many head coaches left on LSU's board why is it being reported it is down to Herman and O. That is one head coach and one DL coach.

Michigan state is not a top college program. it is mid level historically; with an occasional good year.
