If he was willing to tell Jimbo and Herman that Aranda was non-negotiable that he would check with Aranda if he is OK with O.

The fact is there is very little holding Aranda to LSU until his deal is renegotiated. Why didn't Alleva have a deal in place with Aranda before announcing Coach O?

At this point, Alleva deserves nothing more than skepticism, if not contempt, for how he handled the Miles firing and subsequent hiring of Coach O.
