On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 5.4. Not a great hire. Not a terrible one either. Could be better could be worse.

You may not like Kelly if he is indeed the guy. But he’s a ticking good coach. Easily top 5 of current coaches.
Anyone mad about him being hired doesn’t like him personally and doesn’t really care what’s best for the program.
