Retread with experience that may have learned new tricks vs. relative newbie but up-and-comer

Would the melt be about the same?

Clark would have been a homerun. This hire is a dribbler back to the pitcher.

No. Talent/recruiting and strong Linebackers win games, that's what we got

Our sack total will triple next year, and the 2016 class will be on lockdown

It wouldn't have been greeted with massive cheers, but I think the majority of the fanbase would have been somewhere between very happy and wait and see.

we got a guy who was a failure as a hc and was fired at fricking clemson as a dc.

bill clark was starting to make UAB halfway decent. that is a miracle.

dude will be a hc in the SEC one day.

Yes people may not be overly excited but they wouldn't be as negative.

More of an unknown is at least different from a bad record

I'm happier with Steele bc he's a known outstanding recruiter. It starts with recruiting in college.

Never really got the love for Clark but LSU fans usually love the more unknown commodity so probably.

Bama will probably hire Clark now.

I would have been a lot happier if Clark was hired. With this hire, I am ready for Les to go.

While this is probably wishful thinking, I don't see Clark wanting to be a DC right now. Or a position coach, especially not for Alabama. UAB still has to pay his contract I believe.
