It would be awfully short-sighted of them after the success he has had. You are going to have a few clankers at State and Arkansas. Their basements are just lower than the rest of the West's right now.

I'd take him as HC at LSU right now. Really bright guy that is x/o sound an winning at a very hard place to win.
Saban and Miles are perhaps LSU's two best coaches and both came from little brother programs where they put up decent records at schools in good conferences with less resources than their competition. Neither were world beaters. Mullen is doing at least as good a job as those 2 were in the world's toughest division at a worse school.

That would be the dumbest thing they could ever do. They're lucky they've held on to him for so long. They are not a program set up to be a powerhouse and never will be. The fact that he got them to #1 in the country at one point astounds me. They'd be fools to run him off.

I think he is solid but if we get that far then Alleva is an idiot, things have gone terribly wrong, or both.
How much winning do y'all think he has done at State? I think the great year he had in 2014 has skewed the view on his actual record.
