Why wouldn't O want to stay and why wouldn't a new coach want him?

There is no bad blood.

Outside of Florida, he did a fantastic job.

Coach O should be allowed to stay on as a position coach/recruiter if he wants.

If I were the new coach I wouldn't want the former head coach on my staff

I think he'll take a lower level HC job.

Pretty sure he'll get a solid offer elsewhere. Perhaps DC somewhere or even HC. He's not getting either here.

It would absolutely divide the locker room, half would be wanting to play for O and the others for said HC. It would never work out and our team would fall apart. So not no but hell no

i don't think he'll want to stay if he's not retained as HC, just like at USC

Everybody wants O the question does he want to be a HC. It's completely up to O.

Its a tough pill to swallow and even if he did want to stay, i doubt the new hc would want him there, at least initially.

I thoight he did a tremendous job and maybe the houston gig will open up for him.

It all depends on if O thinks he got screwed or not.

He was told he had a shot for the job, lost 2 games by 16 total points to the 2 teams playing in ATL.

How would you feel?

I agree. He could pay his dues and still have a chance at the top job down the road.
