Consistently the only philosophy that challenges Bama and Saban is the spread. Meyer has had a lot of success against saban. Herman is a lot like meyer minus the sleeze. He orchestrated one of the best game plans I've ever seen to take down Bama a couple years ago. So much so that saban consulted him afterward because he had no clue how to stop it.

Bottom line it you want to stop
Sabans run it has to be a spread guy who can match wits and out scheme him. They will always be a little more talented on the lines. You will not consistently challenge Bama unless you spread them and use tempo sporadically.

Because last night it showed we are an offense away from being great. Also Aranda is going to do what he does.

Do you have any idea how smart this guy is? He is a member of the Mensa Society. In case you are an idiot, that means that he is in the top 2% of IQs in the world.

He has a great offensive mind. He is young. He is former roommates with Aranda.

What is not to love?

His players know his bags are packed which explains their lack of passion in playing.

When the best comes to you for an answer, you know you are at the pinnacle. Herman has it.

Ohio State beat #9 Nebraska 62-3 yesterday. was herman the OC for that? what about when Florida won those NCs with Tebow?

is herman the one constant with all those teams or could there be someone else.

Nebraska nis vastly overrated and when Herman left, it took Ohio state a year to adjust and get back to having a better offense . Obviously urban is a great HC and offensive mind but Herman is one of it not the main reason that offense was so succeful that year, even with a 3rd string qb

Saban will be gone in a couple of years. Do what's best for the long term success of the program, not to counter a threat that's about to go away. If that's Herman, fine, but don't focus on short term thinking.

Or maybe it was just a lightening in a bottle scenario

Utah schooled Saban in a bowl. It happens

I like Herman as a coach, but lets not let one game with a LOADED OSU team make him the goat
