No flame. Serious discussion.

Dave has shut Riley’s offenses down the 3 times they’ve met, the last 2 meetings with Dave doing it with Baylor defenses.

Riley looked whipped at his press conference today.

Dave doesn’t wilt under pressure because he’s a tactician always scheming and adjusting, including dealing with the press.

Lastly, Dave can be hired for a lot less money and he’s proven himself a superior tactician to Riley head to head.

My concern is that Dave goes to Southern Cal and builds a dynasty.

I’ve been asking myself the same question

Winning regular season games does not impress me let him win a playoff game the he can apply to the big time

He’s done more than any other candidate on the list and it’s not even close.

What convinces you Riley can out-recruit Aranda?

Only because Riley inherited a good program and has been a head coach longer.

The question no one seems concerned with is how did this leak? But whom? Was it our team or Riley’s?

I suggest it was Riley’s side. I need convincing that SW even contacted him. Is that who SW want to commit career suicide for. That type of contract will not be forgiven by the big money people

You’re getting downvoted to hell and back because it’s Riley Night, but you’re right. And I would rather have Dave as well. He will be EXTREMELY successful. I’d love for him to have that success in Baton Rouge instead of Cali. Don’t flat out hate the Riley hire if we do indeed hire him, but I think Woodward is partially gunning for him so hard because it’s make such a huge splash, not because he’s the smarter coach with the most potential between the two. Riley could frick off and head for the NFL within three years. I think Dave would stay quite awhile here. Riley’s Texas connections would give him a big leg up here though.

Consistent top ten recruiting classes during his tenure at OU compared to Dave arandas 50th ranked classes in two years at Baylor? Sure OU is a bigger draw over Baylor, but can’t discredit Riley’s recruiting capabilities. As well as quarterback production and offensive aptitude.

Yes. That money for a coach who has never won a playoff game in a conference which gave him a yellow brick road to the playoffs is a huge concern.

My point is that Dave has severely outcoached Riley the 3 times they’ve met.

If Riley is who LSU is hiring, then, yes, Riley being dominated head to head by Aranda absolutely matters.
